Cold rolled strip is a steel strip processed by cold rolling. Cold rolling changes the volume of the steel so that a steel strip wound onto a roll has up to 25 % less cross-section than the same strip in unprocessed form. Cold rolling can be carried out on a wide variety of steel grades.

The advantage of cold rolling is its considerably higher stability compared to untreated steel. Cold-rolled strip enables the production of precision parts with an absolutely perfect fit and is not only used in industry. For example, cold-rolled strip is used as a telescopic rail system in filing cabinets or filing cabinets. It can easily support loads of over 100 kg and yet remains smooth-running, quiet and reliable for many years. It is also used in table and chair legs, hinges and even as arresters in fuse boxes. Cold-rolled steel strapping can therefore be found in many places.

There are also various options for surface treatment of cold-rolled strip. Depending on the subsequent application, the surface of the cold-rolled strip can be left bare, roughened or finished with additional materials such as copper to achieve different adhesion properties. If required, both surfaces of the strip can also be treated independently of each other.

Our cold-rolled strip portfolio includes precision cold-rolled strip, carbon steels (alloys with carbon), metal foils and stainless steels.
